I have one- been using it since January. I do like it and I do have a year’s subscription to the website so I can get all my info.

Pro’s- you know EXACTLY what you burn everyday. It makes calculating AP’s extremely easy (before I didn’t know if I was under/over estimating my activity level.) It’s pretty easy to use and it really does motivate me to kick up my cardio to get more calories burned each day.

Con’s- I’ve gotten used to it, but it does show through your clothes. People (not strangers, but people I work with) ask what it is. It occasionally will make noise if the battery is getting low-sometimes at inappropriate times.

The biggest drawback (for me) has to do with the basic premise of “weight lost= calories burned > calories consumed.” While this is true, there are MANY other factors that play into whether or not you loose in a week. Well you log your food consumed each day and upload your calories burned each day. At the end of the week you input your weight. If you have your body bugg set to lose -1 lb/ week but didn’t actually lose the pound, it will “re-calculate” your actual calories consumed.

For example, let’s say I have a calorie deficit of -1000 each day. So I should lose 2 lbs. that week. But if I only lose .5, it will recalculate and tell me I was really eating “X-amount” of calories per day instead of what I inputed. It infurriates me because I’m really careful with portions and when a machine is telling me I really ate more than I logged, it ticks me off! lol

Bodybugg Apex Armband

A stylish new calorie counting gizmo has been introduced on “The Biggest Loser.” Named body bugg, it is a itsy bitsy calculator that tracks calories you exhaust throughout the day. It is awkward to approximate all the calories you are burning off throughout the day. Bodybugg gets rid of the guessing and performs the job for you.

The bodybugg armband has with it custom built meal programs, 3 month admittance to the support website and 2 telephone interviews with a bodybugg trainer.

Bodybugg carries 2 components: a tiny appliance strapped on the arm throughout the day and the custom web based platform. Through the web, you can enter your health info, including age, food predilections, activity levels, weight goals and more. The appliance utilizes the latest sensor engineering science to measure out energy you utilize, including calories burned during physical exercise, walking or while unmoving in front of a data processor. The calculation is completed based on the wellness account you laid out. Each night you remark all things eaten up during the day. With this data, the Bogybugg system will forecast the total calories you want to consume or burn off.

The biggest feature given by the bodybugg is the simpleness in checking calories run through. No measuring cups, measuring tapes, or guess work. Bodybugg is fairly exact in checking calories consumed.

The bodybugg is costly, luckily in that respect, it is easy to find a bodybugg sale on Ebay. Bodybugg will not automatically measure out the calories you consume. It also does not feature a heart rate monitor, which is required to insure if you are in your target heart rate zone during cardio exercising. Bodybugg has tons of recommendations from fulfilled clients and previous Biggest Loser contenders. Many people are prone to check their physical exertion program and calorie consumption more precisely when they buy the bodybugg, which may be the reason many bodybugg owners have satisfactory weight loss.
